Cellebrite Physical Analyzer 7.62.2 brings a host of new features and improvements, enhancing its capabilities and making it more robust and reliable.
This version supports a total of 363 apps and 12,642 versions, with 69 updated parsers.

Hotfix Notice:

The 7.62.2 version includes a hotfix for a License Loader issue that could potentially cause a failure. If you’ve successfully upgraded to version 7.62.1, there’s no need to install version 7.62.2.

Additionally, a problem was identified with Facebook where certain records could cause the Physical Analyzer to crash. The hotfix introduces validation checks to manage problematic records appropriately, preventing crashes.

Updated Decoding Capabilities:

Android:

– Signal Private Messenger Backup: The latest Signal backup extractions for Android (Version 6.22) are now supported.
– MEGA Chat: Support for the chat component of the MEGA application for Android has been added, including chats, contacts, messages, locations, and calls.
– WhatsApp Unread Message Indication: The “unread” message icon for incoming unread WhatsApp Messages is now returned.

– WeChat: Multiple improvements have been made for WeChat, including improved contact parsing, improved attachment parsing, bug for system message sender and device owner for messages, and more.
– Yahoo Mail: The latest version of Yahoo Mail for Android is now supported, including Mails, Contacts, and User Accounts.
– IMO HD: The latest support for IMO HD Android (version 2023.02.3038) has been added, with additional parsing capabilities.
– Google Takeout – Google Chats: Google Takeout chat (previously Hangouts) is now supported for various data types.

iOS:

– More Biome Support: The number of artifacts supported by iOS Biome has been expanded. PA can now parse the screen On/Off state ‘Backlight’.
– WeChat: Multiple improvements have been made for WeChat, including improved contacts parsing, improved call message parsing, and more.
– Support for the latest version of IMO iOS: This version provides updated support for the IMO application. (Version 2023.02.0202)

Cloud:

– Snapchat offline account enablement: Due to changes made by Snapchat to the user authentication process, support for extracting secondary (offline) accounts via Account Package, that was temporarily disabled, is now enabled.
– Snapchat shared location information: UFED Cloud now supports shared location from Snapchat.

We identified an issue with the License Loader that could lead to a failure. If the upgrade to version 7.62.1 was successful, there is no need to install version 7.62.2.
